ABOUT TOM

As a court-involved-therapist, I provide a caring and compassionate place for clients to make positive progress on challenging issues.

I am available for mediation, co-parent counseling, individual adult therapy (coaching through divorce or any other areas of life) or couples counseling. For three decades I worked for various non-profit organizations involved in social justice work supporting individuals and families to navigate life’s crises and transitions. I developed a comprehensive curriculum and led a program for parents navigating child protective services and dependency court. In residential treatment with teenagers and their families, I supported family restructuring and reunification. My work has also included suicide prevention, AIDS outreach, and working with incarcerated individuals, teens on the autism spectrum, and varied work with kids of all ages.

As a father myself, I have a passion to help your family transition peacefully through the uncoupling process in a way that supports your children’s continued growth and well-being. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, a licensed professional clinical counselor, and current chair of the Mental Health Liaison Committee of the Sonoma County Bar Association. Some of my specialized trainings include mediation, restorative justice, and EMDR. I received my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Sonoma State University in 2008.
